
New Species
Wicken Fen is one of
the best studied nature reserves in Britain and there have been many
detailed, expert surveys of its wildlife over the past 100 years. However,
new species are regularly added to the Fen records. For example, in 1999
there were 20 new species and in 2006, an impressive 28 new species for
Wicken.
